Hello, all!

Sorry about that crazy long post yesterday. I just felt like I needed to talk about that process in detail. As it says on my About page, I want this to be a blog that people who are in my situation, or similar, to come look at for advice or just to gain a bit more knowledge. I have no idea if that will actually happen, but I’m going to do it anyway.

In uniform!

So today was not exceedingly eventful. Today was our first day in uniform. For the past two days, we’ve been in training at adult centers, where the dress code is business casual. Today we moved into our specific “Kids and Teens” training at a Kids and Teens center. As such, we donned our Blue EF Polos, khakis, and professional shoes. It was cool to finally look like an EF teacher.

We did a lot of training today. We found out more about the specific Kids and Teens product, what’s expected of us as teachers, and some more information about resources we have. After lunch, we started looking specifically at the Small Stars age group. Kids in Small Stars are between the ages of 3 and 6. This is the group that I will most likely be working with. We learned about how the course is set up and how to plan different parts of the class. Tomorrow we actually have to teach a 20 minute class! Yikes!

After training, Taylor and I went to look at an apartment for her. She has yet to find one. We looked at a couple rooms in a shared apartment. It was nice, but a little pricey. Tomorrow morning we’re heading down to my apartment so she can see it. Who knows, maybe we’ll end up in the same building, although that’d be a pretty long commute for her.

Words to remember: Matthew 11:28-30
Challenge: What is Abba trying to tell you through this passage? Do you feel like you are walking and working with Him? If so, how does it feel? Is it light and free or tough and forced? Ask Abba to give you peace and rest.

Goodnight, all!
Bless,
Kristen
