Miss this girl!
Happy Birthday, Jaidyn Li McKell! I can’t believe you’re a teenager now. I know you probably won’t read this, but I wanted to say happy birthday, just in case. Anyway, hope you are having/had an amazing day. I p—y that this year is full of Abba’s blessings and I’m excited to see you continue to grow.

The featured picture at the top (sorry if it’s sideways for you–we fixed it, but it still seems to be sideways on some devices) is a face swap with Jaidyn a couple of years ago.

Today was another day off for me, but it wasn’t really a day off. While I did spend part of the morning FaceTiming the family, I headed into the center after noon. You may be asking why I would go in to work on a day when I didn’t have to be there. The truth is, I’m a workaholic and I love being at the office. Just kidding. My reason for heading in to work today was to clean. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been trying to get the teachers’ office organized to make room for all of the new teachers. Because of the added bodies in the office, it’s been difficult for me to clean during actual office hours. There’s just no way to make the mess that is necessary to finally organize. As a result, I went in on my day off so that I could finally finish cleaning. I did actually get the back cubbies organized today, although not labelled. I’m guessing the organization will last for all of 24 hours.

On another note, I have a question for you guys. I am having a really bad case of the itches. Every night, I start feeling like there are bugs crawling all over my skin. Occasionally, I feel a sharp pain as if I were being bitten or stabbed by a needle. I haven’t found any bites, although I do seem to be having a small outbreak of acne around my shoulders. I also have an itchy scalp, but, again, no scabs from bites. The itching occurs only occasionally during the day. I have yet to see any evidence of actual bugs. I have followed online instructions on searching for bed bugs and checking for lice, and nada. I read online that this could be caused by dry skin or may possibly be a symptom of my anemia. Of course, we all know that the Internet is always right. Here’s the thing, though, my friend Taylor is having the same problem. She lives across the hall from me and has spent the night a couple of times. But, again, no signs of bugs or bites.

This is actually causing me a lot of problems. It’s becoming really uncomfortable to go to sleep at night. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how I could fix it? I would really appreciate the help.

Thanks,
Kristen

Kristen, are you doing anything with birds? Chickens? Or visiting cats? There are fowl mites that don’t bite but do crawl around on a body looking for feathers. Years ago there was a chair in our house that the cat would sleep in and he would bring fowl mites in. When I sat there, sometimes I would itch like crazy. I’ve also had them on my chickens. They are tiny. The size of the tip of a pin. I have used a lint roller to find them on me.
    Hope you solve your problem.
    Love, Phoebe

      Phoebe,
Thanks for the advice, but I’m not working with any animals and, as far as I know, they’ve never been in this apartment. Still, I’ll check if I find any mites.
      Thanks,
      Kristen
